[edit] Article updates
On 18th March 2008 this article was suggested for deletion. Due to this fact, cleanups were done and the desired external references were added, only hours later. Further work will be put in this article in the next days. I wonder how easy some folks handle deletions - trashing the work of others! At least an visit of the linked homepage could be taken into account. In my eyes it is not understandable, how someone afterwards could still think of deleting. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wwwolf3 (talk • contribs) 23:18, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
Today I removed the Article cleanup tag. This was sticking since a year on this article and noone else removed it. If there are any complaints about the article or elements of it - everyone is welcome here to discuss about it and to improve the article together. Complains about english grammar are also welcome, as most of this text is created by non native english speakers. Help us!
A lot of work is done, however still not finished. There are certainly mistakes and typos, so please help in getting them out. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wwwolf3 (talk • contribs) 00:05, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
Chealer was so nice to correct some things and did a little cleanup, however there are now many [citation needed][clarify] Tags. I catch this ball and try to link them with references, but please accept deletion of few. http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Sidux&diff=201279379&oldid=200664850--Wwwolf3 (talk) 19:25, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
For tonight, I finish and leave some of the stickers for tomorrow. Having removed the cleanup tag.--Wwwolf3 (talk) 23:54, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Advert problems
Can someone please specify what part of the article can be misunderstood as advertisement and what kind of sources should be referenced else? And can someone please explain why it is not wanted to explain something about the future of a distribution? --—Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.171.59.167 (talk • contribs) 13:24, 27 January 2007
- Sidux isn't future software. It's run on my system !!! --Qaridarium 15:42, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
- The advertising parts have improved, but there are a few traces remaining, like "comfortable" and "easily". For the sources, we can't tell you where to take them. People that add information need to add their sources.--Chealer 18:37, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
-
- "easily" and "comfortable" are removed - I think the label "advertisment" can be removed now? And sources are cited too (distrowatch.com, techpatterns.com, sidux-wiki). JaKi143 16:05, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

- Hey ip! The netinstall is not option any longer and there is some more that is not right!
-
and Qaridarium, as this is only a preview-release at the moment, it is future software, if you read the tag right, it says, it might contain future software, so it's possible, that the content will change! So after the release is out, there will be changes to the content of this article! - tania --84.135.205.100 19:18, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

- Can you please specify which parts are not right? Alternatively: change'em :) JaKi143 16:05, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

- Hey Guys! Do You know at least the basic principle of Debian-Sid? There will be never ever a FINAL! This is in its nature. So Sidux cant be even final, but it exists! Do you know THE Final Human?! He doesnt exist and will never - in the end he dies! Will be WP even be Final?! NO! So dont be foolish, or is WP based on Vista? Maybeeeee... --—Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.82.255.252 (talk • contribs) 09:39, 1 February 2007
- Suggestion to improve article quality: An English native speaker please have a look at the collection of 3rd party reviews I have compiled at http://sidux.com/module-Reviews.html add them to external links (and references, if appropriate). There are even more reviews in other languages. The history should also mention the DistroWatch Donation sidux was awarded with. I would also add a short remark that despite the relevance sidux already has, the German Wikipedia admins insist on deleting all articles about it. Greetings, Chris
[edit] Cleanup
I was asked on my talk page why this article is tagged cleanup. Checking the article, I realized that "Linux" appears in complete lowercase in the first sentence. I hope that answers the question.--Chealer 03:15, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
- Not my area of expertise, but I went through the article to clean up the language. It had a definate non-english speaker flavor to it. It should be better now, though it double checking my work would be a good idea. --Lendorien 20:02, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
Cleanup is currently in preparation and will be finished in the next days. --Wwwolf2 08:46, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Monolithic tarball?
Is that a joke? A monolithic tarball containing the source code? Probably vandelism. Funny vandelism, but still vandelism. --Lendorien 14:55, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] german wikipedia
Due to exessive deletions and debates, there is no more version of the german wikipedia article of sidux online. However a draft can be found at user page: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benutzer:Ron.W/Sidux[1]
I hope one day an admin will find the time to put it back to the public de.wikipedia.org. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wwwolf3 (talk • contribs) 18:30, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

might be interesting to read this lines:

—Preceding unsigned comment added by Wwwolf3 (talk • contribs) 22:33, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
