Sidney Walter Smith

He is not to be confused with Sydney George Smith, National MP for New Plymouth.
Sidney Walter Smith (20 January 1893 – 1981) was a New Zealand politician of the National Party. He was a Partiamentary Undersecretary.
He represented the Bay of Islands electorate from 1943 to 1946, and the renamed Hobson electorate from 1946 to 1960 when he retired.
He served in the NZEF in France in World War I. He then farmed, went into business and was on several local Boards.
He died in Auckland, and had been Deputy Chairman of the party's Auckland Division 1963-65.
