Sidewalk Talk
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Sidewalk Talk" is a song originally written by Madonna in the beginning of her career. She granted out this song to Jellybean in 1985, as he was a great collaborator for her during this time. This year was a rising year for Madonna, as she was continuously on airplay both on radio and on TV, on the cover of the magazines, on front displays on record stores, and in every media related to music and show business.
The artist credit of this recording is only for Jellybean, the vocals from Catherine Buchanan (nicknamed "Catt")were acknowledged only on the additional information on the disc sleeve. However, Jellybean tried to take advantage of Madonna's popularity and credited her for the writing of the song on the cover of the single. She also has vocals on its chorus.
"Sidewalk Talk" reached the number one position of the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart on February 2, 1986 and Top 20 Pop.
