Coordinates: Siddipet is a town and a municipality in Medak district in Indian state of Andhra Pradesh with a population of 61,809.[1] It is the biggest town in Medak district and is 104 km away from Hyderabad.

Siddipet is located at [2]. It has an average elevation of 475 metres (1558 feet).
Siddipet is major town in Medak district. It is situated between Hyderabad and Karimnagar on Rajeev Highway.

As of 2001 India census[1], Siddipet had a population of 121,469. Males constitute 50% of the population and females 50%. Siddipet has an average literacy rate of 69%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 78%, and female literacy is 60%. In Siddipet, 14% of the population is under 6 years of age. 32 municipality wards are there. Siddipet students go to hyderabad for their higher education.
T. Harish Rao has been elected as M.L.A (From T.R.S) in 2008 Bi elections.

Syed Sadulla Baba Darga (irkode), Janulla Shah Darga at EDGAH of Iqbal Minar and Syed Karimullah Shah Quadri Dargah are located in and around Siddipet. one village named Medinipur where Veera Hanuman Temple is a site to be visited. there is a well elevated Ayappa Temple located on karimnagar road and there are many temples in Siddipet. we can see some good places such as nagadevatha temple , new venkateshwara , old venkateshwara , santhoshimatha temples in siddipet.Sundara satsangam is a krishna bhagvan temple located near lal kaman is also one of the known temple .

Most of the people come under middle class. Siddipet is also well known for doctors, painters, software engineers, mathematicians, businessmen, teachers and hard working middle class society. Famous Painters such as K.Rajaiah (National Awardee)and Y.Balaiah (International Artist) Sandeep Reddy (Social service)belongs to Siddipet.Siddipet has lot of rice mills and raithu bazars(farmers market). Most of the villages around siddipet sell there agriculture products at siddipet, Most of the students come to siddipet from surrounding villages for ther education to siddipet.

Prominent leaders from the Town are Late Ch Rajeshwar Rao, Late A. Madan Mohan. Chandrashekar rao a prominent leader and the most active member of Telangana Rashtra Samithi served as State Minister for Transportation, Deputy Speaker of the State Assembly . Then established TRS (Telangana Rashtra Samithi), striving for separate Telangana State from united Andhra Pradesh and served as Central Cabinet Minister for Labour.Now the prominent leader is harish rao he worked hard and he was developed verry well in siddipet.Yes

There are engineering and pharmacy colleges in and around siddipet. Every year about 1000-2000 students are pursuing their engineering from siddipet. Vikas high school, Celestial model school are some of the famous schools. The Government Degeree College is famous and is very beautiful to see, it was built long back when there were no colleges in Telangana region except Hyderabad.
Along with degree we have post graduation in this college.In PG section MCA (Master of Computer Science), MBA (Master of Business Administration) and M.Sc(Physics) courses are offered . It has Engineering colleges like Indur Institute of Technology located at ponnal village and Medak College of Engineering and Technology located 16kms away from the place and we can find pharma college SaiKrupa on the way to Medak College of Engineering. Intermediate education has become more competitive, the number of private colleges are increasing year by year. GuruKrupa junior college and Prathiba junior college are the pioneers private institutions which has opened new era in private sector.
We have a great fabulous school named Gayathri Vidyalayam which has achieved many state ranks in 10th class and the students from this school retained the name of this school by getting many ranks in EAMCET and IIT-JEE. There is another school which not only teaches text books but also takes part in various extra curricular activities.whose name is vikas High School. Komati cheruvu & Yerra cheruvu , sub-river of Manjira (which is sub river of Godavari) is located at this place. Komaticheruvu is biggest in siddipet and now this is under prashanthi nagar gram panchayat. Recently the sarpanch Ravinder Reddy Yellu has started boating facility in this place.
