Sid Barras (born 3 April 1948,[1][2] Darlington area, County Durham) is an English former professional road racing cyclist from Keighley, West Yorkshire. He was a professional for 18 years. One of Britain's foremost racing cyclists in the 1970s and 1980s[3] with over 380 wins,[4] Barras is also the father of current professional racing cyclist, Tom Barras.[3] In 1999, Barras was Directeur Sportif for British UCI Division 3 Men's Health cycling team. He is also team manager of Recycling.co.uk in 2007.[5]
