'I love Sibu'

H. Wilfrid Walker

Is it really necessary to include the excerpt from this bigot? I deemed it extremely offensive and quite irrelevant to this article.

The name 黄乃祥 is supposed to be 黄乃裳, and is he a pastor?

To be honest as a descendant of one of the "wily chinese", I don't find that excerpt too offensive. It is merely representative of the way Westerners thought of asiatics in the period. It also happens to be fundmentally true - the Chinese were traders and they did buy and sell to the Dayaks (amongst others) - and still do. Or did last time I was in Sibu, which is admitedly over 15 years ago.
