Sibyl Buck (born May 27, 1972) is an American musician and former fashion model.
Buck was born in Versailles, France. She started her modeling career in 1992 and has worked, e.g., for Yves Saint-Laurent, Chanel, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Alexander McQueen, and many other fashion houses. Sibyl started modelling with a conservative look with long dark hair. Soon she dyed her hair bright red and had several piercings including her tongue and septum. Her punky/grunge appearance was picked up on by the more rebellious designers of the time although she was also popular amongst more mainstream designers - a testiment to her beauty. She would often change her look and had her head shaved for a time giving her a unique androgynous look.
After quitting the modelling industry in 1998 she became a mother and raised her child. Sibyl began playing rock music in bands. She played bass and sang in Champions of Sound with Chris Traynor of Orange 9mm and Helmet, and with Sergio Vega of Quicksand.
Sibyl currently plays bass guitar for Joseph Arthur's rock band, The Lonely Astronauts. She has removed her piercings, but now has several tattoos on her arms.
Sibyl played the role of Jean-Baptiste Emanuel Zorg's secretary in the 1997 movie The Fifth Element.
