Yeah, this artical has a lot of POV making Billy look like an egomaniac. The truth is, although Billy did have most control over the band, it was blown very much out of proportion by the media at the time. A good example of it being how Billy recorded all the guitar tracks. It wasn't because he was a control freak, it was simply because he wrote most of the songs, (He did co-write Mayoniase with James Iha, something overlooked in the artical) and it just would have been easier to record. Well, Billy really was kind of an egomaniac during the sessions. There's a Guitar World interview that I sourced in the main article about the band where it's revealed that one time after Jimmy got high Billy forced him to perform the drum tracks for "Cherub Rock" over and over again until his hands bled. Does anyone have any information about the sound clips that appear after some of the later songs on the album? They appear at the end of songs such as Mayonaise and Spaceboy. Debaser23 19:55, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

I don't have a citation, but I remember reading that the clip that ends "Spaceboy" came from a source that Billy Corgan was unwilling to name, for fear of lawsuit. It sounds like a woman commenting on the love life between her and her boyfriend, to me. 65.248.164.214 (talk) 20:45, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
