From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Siam Park City (Thai: สวนสยาม pronounce in Thai as "Suan Siam") is the closet huge amusement park and water park to Suvarnabhumi Airport, located in the Khan Na Yao district of Bangkok, Thailand. It was opened in November of 1980.
Tourists may take bus number 559 from the bus terminal in Suvarnabhumi Airport to Siam Park City or Suan Siam directly.
(Warning! Only the 559 bus will pass the park gate. The 559 van (Toyota Commuter van) or ROT TU number 559 will not pass the park entrance.
Due to the small number of 559 buses, others may take bus 554 from bus terminal in Suvarnabhumi Airport, stop at Sinpaeth hospital, and then cross over the road to the opposite side and take bus numbers 60, 71, or 115 to Siam Park City (Suan Siam).
[edit] Accidents
On January 13, 2008, 28 children (10-12) were injured, 4 critically, due to the "Super Spiral" 3-story water-slide accident (broken at the 2.5 meter level) on the Thai traditional Children's Day. It was the second accident since October, when a 35-year-old Thai woman died and 5 others were injured when the Indiana Log ride was down.[1]
