[edit] New World Encyclopedia

I am about to remove much of what you recently added to this article. I refer you to the following:

  • WP:NOR - Personal opinions and writings are not acceptable
  • WP:NPOV - A neutral writing style - not one that shows favoritism (or antagonism) to a subject is appropriate
  • WP:V and WP:RS - Don't add information to an article unless it comes from a reliable source
  • WP:COI - if you are personally involved with a subject, be careful how you edit.

The article certainly needs more information, but it must be from reliable sources, not based on personal knowledge or on sources (such as those from the Unification Church) that lack the neutrality needed here to be cited for anything other than the most basic of facts. -- John Broughton (♫♫) 21:17, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Attorney

Regarding your posting that "I am consulting an attorney regarding your comments, and will be in contact again.", I refer you to the following policy: Wikipedia:No legal threats. In particular, you should note this:

If you make legal threats or take legal action over a Wikipedia dispute, you may be blocked from editing so that the matter is not exacerbated through other channels. Users who make legal threats will typically be blocked from editing indefinitely while legal threats are outstanding.

Given the likelyhood that you were unaware of this policy, I will not ask an administrator to block you at this time. But if you should mention a lawyer or legal action in the future, I absolutely will request such a block.

Finally, please note that I do not engage in abstract philosophical arguments over what should and should not be in Wikipedia - I discuss rules and whether editor contributions are in accordance with those rules. If you feel that Wikipedia's rules are inappropriate, there are processes here to change them. You need to either abide by them - including the one cited above - or go elsewhere. -- John Broughton (♫♫) 11:34, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
