The article states that: Starting in the Nara and Heian periods in Japan, they (shuku) were developed according to official policies. But this dictionary says that the begining of shukuba is the Kamakura period. As far as I know, the "stations" of the Nara and Heiyan periods are not the same "stations" of late medieval Japan.--202.71.90.139 (talk) 03:53, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

It's me again. I retranslated the sentence in question. I made a mistake when initially translating from the Japanese Wikipedia article months ago. I think it makes a little more sense now. Thanks for keeping me on my toes. Douggers (talk) 04:40, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
