Shuya River (Kostroma Oblast)

The Shuya River (Russian: Шуя) is a river in Kostroma Oblast in Russia, a left tributary of the Nemda River (Volga's basin). The length of the river is 170 km. The area of its basin is 1,700 sq km. It freezes up in November and stays icebound until April.
