[edit] Band history

It can be argued that Shurman unofficially started as a garage band in the late 80's with Aaron Beavers and Damon Allen. The two met when Beavers' family moved from Texas to Allen's hometown outside of Atlanta. The band idea was put on the back burner while Aaron Headed to Hawaii and Allen moved to L.A. after high school. Remaining friends, Beavers and Allen kept contact and Aaron sent songs he had written while in Hawaii. Soon after Aaron moved to L.A. and Shurman was formed. Two EPs were released 2000's Songs to Tell Your Friends About and 2001's Superfecta. The toured the U.S. playing some 200 shows a year. Their first full length release is titled "Jubilee" released in 2005. In 2006 "A Week in the Life" was released.

Shurman has toured with Ted Nugent, Blues Traveler, Ziggy Marley, Cross Canadian Ragweed, The Jayhawks, Drive-By Truckers, Los Lonely Boys, Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers and Sammy Hagar.
