Thank you for your support in the RfA on my behalf. It is an honor to have received your expression of confidence. Project News
  • Project tagging:After a brief edit war over the addition of {{WP India}} to ancient archaeological sites now located in Pakistan, a "pre" parameter was introduced to remove the ROI flag from the template for pre-1947 articles, following discussion. After another large discussion on ANI alleging that the automated tagging by Ganeshbot and LostBot was "nationalistic", Ganeshbot was briefly blocked. Currently, the bots are again in action.
  • Swastika on Hinduism templates:Recently, an extremely large and at times emotional debate broke out regarding the use of the swastika on Hinduism templates, given its association with Nazism. As a result, {{Hindu Links}} now contains an educational message about the use of the swastika, as discussion on a more permanent resolution continues.

Purely by chance, I noticed that you reduced one of my blocks. The contributions justify an indefinite ban, but it's a shared ISP. However, there is a message on the talk page from the ISP suggesting a long anon only ban, which is what I did. It would be helpful if you clould explain why my indefinite anon only block was not appropriate and/or why I should have ignored the purported message from the ISP,thanks. jimfbleak 07:16, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] User talk:Nationalist

Hi, I saw that you re-blanked Nationalist's talk page. I don't really understand the reason, as there are ongoing dispute discussions and policy-violation records of no more than one month ago in it. Shouldn't he archive the talk page instead of blanking it, as removing warnings and violations are considered inappropriate? Vic226(chat) 04:55, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

In response to your blanking of Nationalist's talk page, uhh...? I hope you have a good reason because I don't understand why you did it. This is a user who has told me to fuck off and has gotten blocked for it. Regards, Tuxide 04:55, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your revert to User talk:Nationalist

You reverted a restore of User:Nationalist's talk page. Right now Nationalist is involved in a very well followed edit-dispute and is up for a Request for Comment. You are removing information on his talk page which needs to remain there until disputes are resolved. Can you please not remove it again, I understand he can take things of his talk page, but he should not take off items which are of current use, i.e. Most of the conversations relating to Republic of China and Taiwan which are currently being used. --Borgarde 04:58, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Hero (disambiguation)

Excuse me?! I did not vandalise it! I merely saw a "GOD HATES YOU" message in the Hero area, and, as I did not know how to remove it normally, I copied the text in the"Edit" area, deleted it, then replaced the text. This seemed to have fixed the problem. Lately, I have been noticing a lot of this vandalism, and have been trying to fix it. I do not see how such things could go unnoticed, but then again, this is a very large webpage, and it must be hard to take care of. Your accusation was unfounded and downright rude; it appears you did not know what was going on. Please do not falsely accuse me of something like this again! I am highly insulted--and very angry--that anyone would ever accuse me of such a hateful thing. I am very sorry if this message has seemed offensive; that is not my intention. I hope, in such a case, that you will forgive me; I am angry at this situation. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.143.156.172 (talkcontribs)

Thank you. I am terribly sorry for this misunderstanding. Still, I do not understand why anyone would write such a message (this is referring to the "GOD HATES YOU" thing) in the first place. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.143.156.172 (talkcontribs)

[edit] Fuzzy Zoeller edit controversy

Hello, there. As you may or may not know, the Miami Herald recently revealed that professional golfer Fuzzy Zoeller has filed a lawsuit against Josef Silny & Associates, Inc. for adding false statements to his Wikipedia biography.

For data gathering purposes, an SRS of 20 administrators has been created, you being one of them. I would like you to comment on this situation and its possible implications to Wikipedia, the accused company, and the general welfare of the community in general. (To what extent will this impact Wikipedia? To what extent will this impact those who use Wikipedia often? To what extent is the company guilty? Who do you believe is at fault?) Feel free to comment however you wish. I ask that you email me your responses via my emailuser page so as to reduce bias in your responses. (Again, don't post your responses on my talk page.)

The following are articles from various news agencies that you may use to inform yourself about the situation: Miami Herald, Herald Tribune, Web Pro News, The Smoking Gun.

I thank you for taking your time to express your opinion. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at any time. Jaredtalk 18:24, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Wikiproject Narnia Newsletter March 2007

WikiProject Narnia Newsletter
Issue 1 - 2nd March 2007 . Written by User:Sp3000 (talkcontribs)
WikiProject Narnia News
  • The WikiProject has been a little quiet lately. There are still quite a lot of Narnia stubs. It has been nearly three months since we last worked on Minor characters in The Chronicles of Narnia, which still looks very much like a draft page. That would be a nice article to get into the main namespace.
Good and Featured Articles
Other news
  • WikiProject Narnia's first newsletter issue has been published. You're looking at it right now!
Member News
To-do
  1. Add characters and bios to minor character draft page.
  2. Expand Narnia stubs.
  3. Place links to the Narnia Portal on article pages by using {{portal|Narnia}}.
  4. Add the stub template {{Narnia-stub}} to articles in the category Category:Stub-Class Narnia articles so that there are the same number of articles in Category:The Chronicles of Narnia stubs.
  5. Link the first mention of a year in all Narnia-related articles to Narnian timeline.
  6. Rewrite character articles to use the Narnian character example article format.
  7. Adopt an article and improve it to the best of your ability.
  8. Wikify The Chronicles of Narnia article, especially the new lead and Narnian Universe sections
From the founder

I am proud to present our first issue of the WikiProject Narnia Newsletter. I decided that we needed to alert everybody who had expressed interest in the project that there is much work to be done! Please check in every once in a while at the project talk page, and tell other project members what you've been up to in terms of Narnia articles.

Fbv65edel / ☑t / ☛c ||

Article of the Month: Edmund Pevensie
  • Edmund Pevensie is a major character in The Chronicles of Narnia. He appears as a principal character in three of the seven books. Edmund was the second to enter Narnia, although he tried to betray his siblings to the White Witch. However, Edmund managed to help save Narnia by neutralizing the White Witch's most powerful weapon, her wand.
Collaboration of the Month: Shasta (Narnia)
  • Shasta is currently quite short and not much of his background has been mentioned. The article also lacks images – but make sure if you upload one, you include a FU rationale. Contribute!

BTW, I think you might need to archive ;) --The preceding comment was signed by User:Sp3000 (talkcontribs) 07:35, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

Your name is still listed at Wikipedia:Admin coaching/Volunteers. The department is heavily backlogged with student's requests for coaches, and we need your help!

Note that the instructions may have changed since the last time you checked, and the department now follows a self-help process...

If you don't currently have a student, or if you believe you can handle another one, please select a student from the request list at Wikipedia:Admin coaching/Requests and contact them. See the instructions on Wikipedia:Admin coaching. Good luck.

If you are no longer available to coach, , please remove yourself from the volunteers list.

Thank you.
