Shrirampur is a well planed city and a municipal council in Ahmadnagar district in the Indian state of Maharashtra.

As of 2001 India census[1], Shrirampur had a population of 81,270. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Shrirampur has an average literacy rate of 72%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 79%, and female literacy is 66%. In Shrirampur, 13% of the population is under 6 years of age.

Shrirampur is native place of Zaheer Khan, a renowned Indian Cricket player also hails from Shrirampur.

Shrirampur is well-known for sugar factories . It is surrounded on all sides by sugar industries (about 10-15) and hence sugarcane forms the main cash crop in the area. Due to recent setbacks in the sugar industries the people from these areas are turning to other cash crops.

As the name indicates, it is also known for "Shri Ram Mandir" located in the heart of the town. The annual festival for the people is "Ram Navmi" marking the birth of Bhagwan Shri Ramchandra. The festival is well attended by people from surrounding places. People from the nearbyvillages and the town itself come and pray at the temple on this auspicious day. Fireworks take place at the innaugral day. This is the festivalk when people come and enjoy themselves.

Orignel village is BELAPUR . INDIANRAILWAY today also uses this name. Shrirampur the new city is only a railway station .The city is developed according to it. This the rear place where bus stand & railway station islocated near to each other. We got RBNB College and CD Jain college. The best part is its in between Shanishingnapur and Shirdi. Both these places are at the same distance from here. So if you want to visit these two places then try staying at Shrirampur so it becomes more convinient to travel.
