Shringarpure

Shringarpure is a relatively rare surname (family name) in Hindus from Chandraseniya Kayastha Prabhu caste.

It is said that "Shringarpure", as they are called, came from northern part of India and are known as Kshatriya Brahmins. The name Shringarpure is said to have come from "Shringeri" a place in northern India, having one of the four Pitha's (Apex house of Hindu religion) of Hindus.

Most of the Shringarpure families live in Western state of India called Maharashtra.

The known residing Shringarpure family locations are Thane (Maharashtra), Pen (Maharashtra, Raigad district), Panvel (Maharashtra, Raigad district), Palghar (Maharashtra, Raigad district), Dadar (Maharashtra, Mumbai), Vadodara (Gujarat).

There are multiple Shringarpure families existent at various places in India and other cuontries (migrants).

At the same time Jamalpure came from Konkan area like Ratnagiri.
