Shridhar Venkatesh Ketkar

Shridhar Venkatesh Ketkar (1884-1937) was an Indian scholar.

He published Dnyan-Kosh (encyclopaedia) in Marathi. He had married a Jewish woman (nee Edith Cohn), whom he named Sheelawati Ketkar. Sheelawati write a book on her husband which has been translated into Marathi by Durga Bhagwat.

Dr Ketkar also wrote fiction. His most famous book is Brahman-Kanya.
