Shri Lakshmisha Tholpady is a scholar, philosopher, thinker, writer, poet, excellent orator. He was born in the year 1947. He is native of Shanthigodu village of Putturtaluk ofKarnataka state. Lakshmisha Tholpady has studied Sanskrit, Vedas, Upanishads, Ramayana and other Hindu religious texts in detail. His book "Maha yuddhakke Munna "is considered to be very special. He has also taken active leadership in many movements like "Paschima Ghatta Ulisi Aandolana"(Save Western Ghats-Movement). He has written many articles in Kannada News papers like Lankesh Patrike and Prajavani. He is presently the vice president of Bharathiya Kisan Sangh, Southern Region. His talks on Vedas, Upanishads, Ramayanam etc are very informative.
