[edit] ToDo

  • Cleaning up the Bat page (i.e. making sure every species of bat has its article}.
  • Editing and adding [[1]] to Pteralopex species pages.
  • Add ssp to Pteronotus species.Y Done

[edit] Tips

  • When editing on Wikipedia (and using Firefox) use the built in spell checker, it makes life so much easier on the other editors, plus if you're not native to a language, you can still write without spelling mistakes. (Dictionaries for Firefox can be found here: [[2]]
  • When writing an article about something in your neighborhood, consider taking pictures of it and uploading them free to use by everyone.

[edit] Observations

  • Quality over quantity, this is, after all, an encyclopedia.
  • It is a miracle that Wikipedia is still going strong, considering the amount of bickering and backstabbing going on.
  • Diff-addiction seems to be a chronic infectuous disease, caused by the Huggle virus. No known cure exists.
  • If not for Speedy Deletion Wikipedia would soon have more personals than LinkedIn.
  • Some admins seem to confuse WP:BOLD with WP:IAR.
  • Anything that ends with "count" (e.g. editcount) turns quite a lot of people on.
  • Wikipedia needs a bouncer that redirects companies to the Yellow Pages, as they seem to confuse them with Wikipedia.
  • Odd that the tiniest of creatures living on the bottom of the deepest ocean and only ever seen by one person operating a ROV are often considered more notable than a living person that was seen by millions of people, but nobody took the effort to publish about.
