Talk:Short Beach (Oregon)

I'm not 100% happy with the article as I posted it, mostly because it lacks references. I know it's on maps, and I've seen tourist information about Short Beach, but don't have my hands on any of it at the moment. I'm also frustrated with the origin of the name -- even though some locals who have lived near the beach for eighty years say it was named for a "Mr. Short", I haven't found anyone who can verify that. My big reason for writing the article was confusion by people looking for Short Beach who weren't able to find it on Wiki! Short Sands Beach, farther north, and Short Beach on the east coast of the U.S. are easily found, but I've been amazed at just how many people have expected it to be on Wikipedia if it's worth visiting. - Unfortunately, Oregon Geographic Names doesn't have anything on it either. Good luck. Katr67 21:01, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
It's on Google Earth, though. And information on it -- web site, how to donate to an access project, etc. -- can be obtained at the Cape Meares Lighthouse. Dismalscholar 05:41, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
