Perhaps the most notable of SAST's co-hosts was Patty Rosborough, who brought out some of Jon Stewart's most impish qualities. Granted, those are well-known to most viewers today, but were all the more charming in an era when Sam Kineson was more the norm. Patty was pregnant during some of her stint on the show. Also worth recalling are the promotional items, such as the "SAST" mini-button viewers could request. ComedyCentral (HA! at the time) has come a long way from that era of low-tech self-promotion, not always for the better. Movie clips, stand-up routines, animated shorts, and other "bits" were bookended by MTV-style credit blocks superimposed in the lower left corner, using precisely the same white sans-serif text MTV popularized.
