"It is the first and currently the only water-based amusement park ride in the world to utilize an adjustable electromagnetic braking system to control the volume of the splash." - This may have been true in 2000, when "Perilous Plunge" was installed. Since then Mack Rides (Germany) alone installed five "SuperSplash" models - all of them feature adjustable electromagnetic brakes.
