[edit] A recent addition to Sakuragi's section regarding a real-life player

I just reverted the addition of a few paragraphs to Sakuragi's section, regarding the character being based on a real-life basketball player who'd died in a car crash.

Firstly, I reverted it because it was sourced to a personal weblog, which isn't a verifiable source according to Wikipedia policy.

Secondly, a Google search reveals no sources about this particular player, apart from the exact passage that was copied and pasted into the article, translated into various languages (including Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Chinese and English). This leads me to question the veracity of this information; why hasn't anyone ever written about this popular character in a popular manga series being based on a real person?

I am not denying the possibility that the character Sakuragi was based on a real person, but due to the two aforementioned reasons (poor sourcing and questionable veracity) I don't think it should be added to Sakuragi's section. Of course, if someone can come up with verifiable secondary sources, that'd be perfectly fine. Bhamv 06:16, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
