Talk:Shofet

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

First comment: In the second paragraph of the brief article (which doesn't exist, according to this page), something seems to be omitted. The text reads, "...its 'Punic' Mediterranean colonies such as...", leading one to expect examples. But it continues, "...a shofet...".

Second comment: Other sources relate "shofet" to Assyrian "sapatu". Should this be mentioned? [anonymous posting]

  • The Assyrian -another Semitic language- would be worthwile, provided it gets sourced; hopefully it can be made into a third section Fastifex 06:52, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Quality/Balance of Article

I am concerned that this article (as well as Biblical judges) is overly simplistic, fails to go into nearly enough detail, and (perhaps due to its being derived from the Catholic Encyclopaedia), seems to support Christian interpretations rather than being nonjudgemental.
