Talk:Shoe insert
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Heel Lifts or Shoe lifts are used both for vanity purposes (to simulate being taller), and for therapeutic uses (short leg compensation , Achilles' tendon strain relief, various prosthetic uses).
Shoe lifts for "height enhancement" are sold in pairs, and do not work very well, as there is simply not enough room in a shoe to safely and comfortably add more than 1/2" of heel lift.
Shoes for therapeutic purposes are usually sold as a single heel lift, intended to be used under only one leg.
No edits made, but this article is strongly biased towards vanity shoe lifts.
