The Show-Me State Games are an olympic-style competition for amateur athletes in the U.S. state of Missouri, held in Cosmo Park[1] in the city of Columbia. The games are the largest state games in the United States[2] with 28,000 people competing annually.[2] The games are a member of the National Congress of State Games and the United States Olympic Committee. The name derives from the state's official nickname, the "Show-Me State."[3]
