[edit] History

In 1995, after the band first formed, Matt Pryor and Rob Pope saved for several months in order to record their first 7". In 1996, they recorded the record, produced by Mike Mogis and his brother A.J., who were major players in the midwest emo scene at the time. The release of the record brought a great deal of attention to the band from Doghouse Records, who put out the band's first album, as well as producer Ed Rose, who produced Woodson, the band's first release on a major label.

The record also caused some internal shakeup within the band, and eventually drove then-drummer Nathan Shay to quit the band. As a replacement, Rob's brother Ryan joined the band. [2]
