Short Pump Middle School (SPMS) is located near Richmond, Virginia in western Henrico County. The school is operated by Henrico County Public Schools. The address is 4701 Pouncey Tract Road, Glen Allen, Virginia 23059.

Short Pump Middle School has been open since 1991. It houses sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students. The mascot is the puma, and the school colors are red, white, and black. In the school's brief existence it has established a tradition of excellence through high academic standards and achievement. It holds full accreditation status that was received as a result of its students' achievements on the Standards of Learning (SOL) tests. Out of 380 middle schools in Virginia, Short Pump Middle School was one of the first twelve middle schools to receive full accreditation.[1] In 2008, Short Pump was awarded as a "School to Watch," a national award given to the most exemplary educational establishments. Short Pump Middle is the first school in Henrico County to receive this prestigious honor. Many elective courses, such as drama (8th grade only), art, foreign language, and technology, are offered. The music program, especially the band, is one of the more elite in Henrico County Public Schools. There are also many clubs including the TSA (Technology Student Association), Junior Beta, FCCLA (Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America), and FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America). Students also have the language choice of Spanish, French, Latin, or an introductory wheel which covers many languages.
