The Short-tailed Finch (Idiopsar brachyurus) is a species of bird in the Emberizidae family. It is the only member of its genus, Idiopsar.
It is found in Argentina, Bolivia, and Peru. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical high-altitude grassland.
