The Short-Tailed Emerald (Chlorostilbon poortmani) is a species of hummingbird in the Trochilidae family. It is found in Colombia, Peru, and Venezuela. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical moist montanes, and heavily degraded former forest.
