The Short-tailed Bandicoot Rat (Nesokia indica) is a species of rodent in the Muridae family. It it found in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, China, Egypt, India, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Syrian Arab Republic, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. Its natural habitat is temperate shrubland.
