Shore Fire Media is a publicity firm, based in Brooklyn, New York, that specializes in music, entertainment and popular culture. Founded in 1990 by former Columbia Records Vice President Marilyn Laverty, the company is most known for its representation of Bruce Springsteen, who was the firm's initial client along with Wynton Marsalis, as well as popular stars such as Elvis Costello and Robert Plant. Shore Fire Media is also known for initial and current representation of breaking artists such as Norah Jones, Joss Stone, Los Lonely Boys, and Jamie Cullum, as well as long-term work with such career artists as Cassandra Wilson, Bela Fleck & the Flecktones, Joshua Redman, The Blind Boys of Alabama, and Duran Duran.
Former musical clients include: U2, PJ Harvey, John Mellencamp, Dave Matthews Band, Ben Harper, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Advertising Age's 2003 Entertainment Marketers of the Year Award was awarded to Laverty in honor of Shore Fire's campaign behind Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band's The Rising. [1] Shore Fire artists were nominated for 21 Grammy Awards in 2004, 25 nominations in 2005, and 21 nominations in 2006.
