Shop 'n Save is a grocery store chain with 54 stores in Pittsburgh and 16 stores in Northern West Virginia. Shop 'n Save is the Pittsburgh area's number 3 grocery store, behind Giant Eagle and Wal-Mart but ahead of FoodLand. In northern West Virginia, Shop 'n Save is the area's number three grocery store, behind Kroger and Food Lion, and is also ahead of FoodLand, another Supervalu supplied grocery store. There is also 1 Shop 'n Save location in Hubbard, Ohio. In November of 2007 the Spicko's Giant Eagle in Newton Falls, Ohio changed to Spicko's Shop 'n Save.
Some Shop 'n Saves were formerly owned by SuperValu until early 2006, when the company, like so many others, was unable to compete with Wal-Mart entering the Pittsburgh Market they decided to sell or close all their stores. However the brand still continues to struggle, and many former locations are now dark. Supervalu still supports Shop 'n Save's store inventory.
