Shoe Goo
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Shoe Goo or Shoe GOO is a silicone-based adhesive intended for repairs of athletic footwear and rollerskates. It is produced by Eclectic Products, Incorporated of Eugene, Oregon USA.
Its strength as both an adhesive and a means to repair worn shoe soles has made it a popular means of adding a tractive surface to skateboard decks; it is also sold in hobby shops through Hobbico of Champaign, Illinois under their "DuraTrax" brand as an assembly adhesive for radio controlled model cars and aircraft and as a waterproofing agent for model boats.
Shoe Goo can be used in many different categories of sports & lifestyles from skydiving to dog shoes, but due to the nature of skateboarding, skateboarders remain the loyalist of users as ongoing repairs to skate shoes are essential. One company suppling the skateboarders demand for Shoe Goo in Europe is Network UK Distribution.
Network UK Distribution also offers a non-toxic solvent & alcohol free alternative to Shoe Goo called All Star Gum.
