[edit] hi
Do take a look at Razakars (Pakistan). The page needs some tidying up.Bakaman 19:33, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

Please see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Anil Chowdhury and comment. Regards.--Dwaipayan (talk) 18:11, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
- Hi! Can you please provide some book reference in the Anil Chowdhury article? May be that would be useful. Regards.--Dwaipayan (talk) 04:19, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
- Almost any book on Ray will do. I don't think there's a book on Choudhury himself.--ppm 05:40, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Re:Your note
Sure! I am also very interested in his works. I will help when I see there is some thing missing. I will look through it again when I am done with my current project (Kiarostami). Take care. Sangak 19:58, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Your message
I didn't specify at the Talk page because the template was a specific one: weasel words. The article contains many instances. --Mel Etitis (Talk) 20:42, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
- From the lead: "who is widely regarded as one of the greatest auteurs of 20th century cinema." (by whom?)
- "generally considered his magnum opus." (by whom?)
- "that some thought would kill off the film when it was released in the United States" (who thought this?)
- "others find it remarkably slow even by Ray's standards" (who do?)
- "many saw striking similarities in the film to Ray's earlier script" (who did?)
- "Featuring a musical structure some commentators feel is even more complex than Charulata" (which commentators?)
- etc., etc. --Mel Etitis (Talk) 22:31, 15 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Bengal
Great work on merging the two! I am not getting enough time these days. Will try to lend a hand ASAP. Meanwhile please continue. Geography is lacking in content. The rest, content-wise, seems better. However, style (merging of WB and BD) needs improvement. Hope we shall be able place it in FAC soon. Needs a daughter article on culture I guess. Can you try to curb the History? Regards.--Dwaipayan (talk) 16:16, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Rajshahi
Thanks for bringing it to my attention. My work has mostly been in categorization lately, and cleaning up the Indian Americans cat. Btw, if you need that infobox, I'll try and finish it in a couple of days.Bakaman 00:30, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

WikiProject History of Bangladesh has started. It needs members and participants. Aditya Kabir 03:46, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Hello
I have gone through the article on Rajshahi University, though not in detail but tried to touch each section. I found this article as one of the best written article on Bangladeshi Universities. Its really hard to comment on this article as it is really cool. Still giving some opinions, may be it will help you to improve the article further.
- Is it 'Northern Bangladesh' or North Bangle? I lived in Rajshahi for several years. At that time it was called North Bangle or Uttor Bongo.
- I think name of the 'Vice-chancellor' should be placed just after the name of the Chancellor.
- A separate point can be arranged with a title like "Rajshahi University and Bangladesh Liberation War" or something like that. The reason why I am emphasizing on this point is RU has a very strong participation in our Liberation war along with DU. So, such a special point can strengthen the article at a great extend.
Regards, (Niaz bd 08:35, 14 March 2007 (UTC))

- The reason northern Bangladesh is more appropriate is that this article is written for the typical enlish language reader. Using North Bengal would necessiate the introduction of the confusing concept of Bengal vs Bangladesh. The vice-chancellor thing is a formatting problem, I tried to put it in place, still haven't been able to make it work. The liberation war idea is good, though some of it can be in the History section. It is also important to remember the first point I mentioned, that from an external point of view, Rajshahi University is a seat of education, and as such, that's deserves most encyclopedic attention.--ppm 20:37, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
- I do agree and appreciate the term Northern Bangladesh instead of North Bangle. I actually didn't think in that way. Regarding VC issue, I suggest you to copy a suitable box from a reputed article and replace the filed by appropriate data. In East West University page, I applied exactly this technique. About liberation war issue, I have seen other universities use to put lots of history in the mail article as they consider it as a part of the university history. Still this article is quite strong and if you add liberation war issues also then it will strengthen the article at a great extend. Over all, nice job dude! [edit] BUET
Once you are done with the RU article, can you take a look at BUET? The article is sub-standard, and full of fluff. I also am prod'ing List of notable BUET alumni as the article is simply a list of buet alumnus in academia, without any notability considerations. --Ragib 05:15, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Education in Bangladesh, please, help
I have started working on the article Education in Bangladesh. It was in an extremely bad shape. The last few edits were turning it into a motley hotchpotch of text, link and image for private university/English medium agenda-pushers. Even without that the article had little content. I have began by putting in an enormous amount of fresh text, and even more massive amount of resource links (Banglapedia, government sites and downloadable pdf links). Now the real work should begin. Would you lend a hand in this? I can't do it alone. Do you have anyone else in mind who might help? That person doesn't need to be Bangladeshi. Aditya Kabir 18:19, 17 March 2007 (UTC) - please, answer to my talk page
[edit] Re: Not totally sure about your points
Hey, that's alright. You don't have to go out looking for difficult to obtain information. It would have been nice if we could put in some stuff on the 1980s disturbances. It should not hinder the article from getting an FA status. A lot of FAs need some more work, and yes, some do get worked on even after getting the status. I can't exactly recall which of them I've encountered, but am willing to dig up some if the cause for RU demands it. Just one questions, can you put the JMB controversy somewhere? The information is available online. Cheers, and nice job. I wish I had your help in the two projects I am tied in with now - Shahbag and Education in Bangladesh. Cheers again. Aditya Kabir 18:14, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

- A question: Will be too much if I ask you to put in publication dates on all of the refrences (on on as many possible) for RU? Aditya Kabir 20:44, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
Congratulaions for the super-human job you've done to Rajshahi University. WOW! Simple amazing. Aditya Kabir 16:14, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Peer Review
You are most welcome to put one of the articles up for peer review. I'd suggest you do that for Shahbag, the education article is still too weak for that. May be in a week or so you can put that up for a review as well. Cheers. Aditya Kabir 16:32, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
- Post Script: I take that back. Since I, too, am running short on time nowdays. Would you rather put Grameen Bank up for review? I have already submitted it as a GA nominee. But, it still needs a lot of work. The nomination was quite premature. Aditya Kabir 16:40, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Hello
Hi! The success of RU has inspired me to do something similar with CU! I'm short of time these days, may be later. I'll be waiting for your return so that Bengal can be moved further. Meanwhile, I'll do minor stuffs there if possible. Maybe I'll knock somebody for a better map, if possible a multicoloured map (showing the present extent and atleast one historical extent eg Bengal Presidency). Regards.--Dwaipayan (talk) 05:44, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Session Backlogs
Congratulations on FA! I piped session to academic term. Might be nice to create a wiktionary entry for backlog, but it seems to be common parlance for English; the phrase is just foreign to American English. Hopefully the pipe will clarify anyway. Best wishes, MarkBuckles (talk) 09:20, 23 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Shahbag review
Yes, I agree that the Urban Layout and Civic Life parts are a bit mixed up. Can you lead me to some examples I can take hints from? May be, on top of that, you can explain what can be done a bit more. I need help on this. Cheers. Aditya Kabir 14:54, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Greek to me
Greetings. I just wrote the page Greek to me. I am comparing similar expressions in other languages. I was wondering if you would be able to add the expression in any languages with which you are comfortable. Btw, I just found your page/profile by running a search for users who have a level 4/level 5 ability in non-English languages. Thanks much! samwaltz 04:52, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Satyajit Ray
Are you around? Satyajit Ray was nominated for main page appearance. However, one oppose hascome mentioning the lack of inline citations. Since the article is very much basedon Robinson's book, I guess most cases are citable from the book. Can you insert a few more inline citations?--Dwaipayan (talk) 05:49, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
- Ok. I am trying to insert some citations, using the google book. Bye the way, are you there in New haven? I am soon moving to UConn, at Farmington and Hartford.--Dwaipayan (talk) 07:24, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
