[edit] Assistance
Sure, you're welcome to drop a note on my user talk page anytime you want. I'd suggest trying the village pump (I think that's where I saw your question) or the help desk first; the help desk in particular usually has very quick answers. But if you post somewhere and don't get a reasonably quick answer, or no good answer, sure, feel free to ask me. -- John Broughton (♫♫) 18:54, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Re: Eilat
I don't see that the Dutch Wikipedia has a panorama at the top. Anyway, it's just not widely accepted on Wikipedia, not to mention panoramas are formatted with a frame (sometimes scrollable, like in the current version). Please consider that before making any changes. Thanks, Ynhockey (Talk) 19:03, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Belated reply
Hi, Thanks for your question, and sorry I did not reply sooner, I've just not had much time lately.
To answer your first question, if ArielGold isn't answering her talk page you could try sending her a quick email. I don;t expect she'd mind you doing this as she does have an email address set.
With regards to your second question, it is perfectly acceptable to ask someone else to be your mentor. though it is good form to formally end mentorship with your current mentor, if she is not currently around I shouldn't worry too much. Just leave a friedly note on her talk page stating why you looked for a new mentor, so there are no hard feelings.
I hope this answers your questions, if not just leave me another message, and i'll get back to you (much sooner next time as well i'll warrant).

P.S. I too have never been able to understand why we build such strong bonds with our fellow contributors, I think it's great though, that people are looking out for each other.
- Hi again, I'm glad to hear that you have managed to get in touch with Ariel. There's nothing that says you can't keep Ariel listed as your main adopter, and then have a secondary adopter/co-contributor, so there's no problem on that front. Do you have anyone in mind for this role? I myself would love to help you out if you would like, though I won't be free for about a fortnight, after that I can devote a lot time to check through your contributions and make suggestions. - P.S. Nice work on the biography, however, make sure that you always try to apply the guidelines of the Manual of style for lists of works wherever possible.
[edit] Reply to message of May 5, 7
Hi again, Thanks, the bio looks much better now. As to answering your question, generally dropping a 'to' is due to a writer's sloppyness, they probably don't realise they forgot. The date's are slightly different, whether or not there is a comma after the year is based on the context of the date, and how it would fit into the sentence it is in. Though usually it can down to the writer's taste. Hope this answers your question Reece (Talk) (Contributions) 16:55, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
- I too would write "...it comes down to...", just a typo on my part when psoting my original message. The nit picking's good, as I find people don't always concentrate 100% on their typing, especially when they get fully into writing, and people don't always proof-read their posts before they save them (as exemplified by my last message, ironically enough). [edit] Re: Messages of 21st and 23rd May
Sorry it has taken me so long to reply, i've not had chance to get on these past few days.
The speedy tag was removed bacause the page dowsn't fit the speedy deletion criteria strictly enough. Whilst it was advertisary before the recent edits, it is no longer. The recent copyedit pulls it into line with wikipedia policy. Yes the article needs work, but it is salvagable. Terefore to get rid of it would need a VFD. The editor's summary didn't say this I know, but that will have been his logic.
As the article stands, it conforms to most of wikipedia's guidelines. It does lack citations, but other than that it is perfectly legitimate (as far as I can see). There is certainly room for improvement however. A better tag now would be 'Stub'.
Hope this answers your questions. If not I'll be online for most of the coming week.
