[edit] How to use it

The template takes the following 5 parameters which must be given in the correct order:

  1. The the phrase before the word that is now spelled differently.
  2. The old version of the word or phrase.
  3. The new version of the word or phrase.
  4. The the phrase after the word that is now spelled differently.
  5. 1 if the phrase is a proper name, 0 otherwise.

After the German spelling reform of 1996, the officially correct name is "Das Schloss Neuschwanstein". However, and especially as the reform as of today is not completely accepted, some people continue to use the pre-reform spelling "Das Schloß Neuschwanstein". Some also argue that the old spelling, being a proper name, should not be subject to spelling reforms at all.
