  • {{shipindex|name=ship, prefix}}, where the "name=" parameter controls how the page is sorted in Category:Ship disambiguation.
    • ship is the name of the ship disambiguation page without prefixes or preceding national identifiers
    • prefix is the ship prefix or navy identifier
