The first HAT-TRICK HERO of Indian cinema Shivaraj Kumar, fondly called Shivanna, has come a long way since his debut in Anand, almost 20 years ago.
He got the title "hat-trick hero" after his first three films Anand, Rathasapthami, and Manamechidha Hudugi ran packed houses for more than 25weeks.
Shivaraj Kumar, eldest son of the Kannada thespian, DR.Rajkumar, took to acting soon after he completed his B. Sc. from Madras University.
Trained in Kuchupudi dance by Vempetti Chinna Sathyam in Chennai during his college days, he also has a flair for western dance.
Shivanna is a soft-spoken star, is totally involved not only in his own role on the sets but also in that of others, believing that all actors in a film are part of a team.
The Superstar has given who has 2 major blockbusters "Janumada jodi"(1997) and "JOGI"(2006) .... which have broken all previous records of Kannada Film industry both in audio sales and collection wise, Including collections made by films starring Icon Dr.rajkumar. The film "jogi" has earned over whomping 35 crores profit and was the 3 rd highest grosser by a indian cinema for the year 2005. The audio sales of janumada jodi have crossed 35 lakhs and is still going strong....

He has also received several awards such as Cinema Express Award and Filmfare Award. The actor is the son-in-law of the former Chief Minister, S. Bangarappa.
HAT-TRICK HERO Shivaraj Kumar,who bagged the State Government's award for the Best Actor for the fourth time is aiming to win a national award for his mind-blowing perfromance in "GANDUGALI KUMARARAMA".
