Talk:Shire of Exmouth

What does "sit at large" mean? I googled, (also at google.com.au) and found only things saying "we sit at large tables.....". This needs to be clarified. Thehalfone 22:03, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
- I agree better wording needs to be found (the fault is entirely mine, from a couple of months ago). Most councils are divided into wards. The ones which are not have councillors who are elected by, and serve, the entire population of the council area or shire. Maybe "and all councillors represent the entire Shire" would work better. Thanks for bringing it up, and any decent ideas to fix this one are welcome :) Orderinchaos 09:46, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
