Master Shimabuku's teachers began with his uncle. In the early 1930's, Shimabuku began structured training under Master Kyan. He then went on to study with Miyagi around 1936, and finally Master Motobu around 1938. See [1] Also see [2] Noxia (talk) 22:29, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
