Hi, does this article use the book indicated as a reference or is it taken directly from that book? The comment at the bottom is a bit ambiguous as to the source. Ziggurat 23:24, September 6, 2005 (UTC)
The book cited is a reference. It is a guide book which I was given while on a tour of China which included a stop at Shibaozhai on a river cruise on the Yangtze River. The actual statistics came from the guide book which contained additional material not provided here such as the magical rice hole legend and the duck down the well legend. The image is one I took while on the trip and you can see the marketplace along the river bank. Fellow travellers left the boat and toured the pavillion. They said it was quite impressive. I was a bit sick at the time and did not feel comfortable leaving the boat. The ship doctor had me on antibiotics and Chinese herbal medicines which fixed me up by the next day or so but that day, I was feeling pretty punkish. The boat was there for only a couple of hours. The ship's staff said it was a standard stop on the river cruise route. The staff also mentioned the note about the coffer dam.
I wonder if that was started or not. user:richardelainechambers Sept 12, 2005
Fantastic, thanks for the info! I have reformatted the reference according to Wikipedia:Cite sources/example style#Books. If you have an ISBN for it, that would be great too.
