Shitsu Nakano

Shitsu Nakano (中野シツ) (January 1, 1894 – August 19, 2007) was the fourth-oldest living person in the world and the oldest living person in Japan, following the death of then oldest in the world Yone Minagawa six days earlier. She died of natural causes in a home for the elderly in Ogoori, Fukuoka Prefecture. She had eight children, 22 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. [1][2] After her death, fellow 113-year-old Tsuneyo Toyonaga became the oldest-living person in Japan.[3]
