Shirvan National Park

Shirvan National Park is a national park of Azerbaijan. It was set by the decree of the President of Azerbaijan on the area of 543.74 km² in Neftchala, Garadagh and Salyan administrative district on the 5th of July 2003.

It has a semi-desert landscape and water body of approximately 40 km². The national park has an extremely rich ornithological fauna. Rare and valuable species of birds (turaj, little bustard, bustard, swans, flamingo, etc) winter and nest in the marshy areas. Djeyran gazelles are the most widely spread mammals in the region.
