Shirshi is a small village in (Kokan) Khed taluka, Ratnagiri district of India.
It is located on the State Highway between Khed and Panalje. 16 KM from Khed Coordinates: 17°39'47"N 73°23'8"E. Postal Code 415727. Shirshi It is situated along the bank of a small river linking to Arabian sea.
A town consisting of 120 homes with a population of above 500. Dominated by the community surname HAMDULAY, MUKADAM, SIDDIQUE, PAWAR, CHINKATE etc. Main religions are Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism. All live in communal harmony. Education is available in Marathi, Urdu. Facilities of Water Scheme and Post office are available. Adarsha High school and the State Bank of India are at a distance of half kilometer from the village. Farm is 100% of the houses are provided with electricity.
Road transportation is available. The nearest Railway Station is Khed -- 18 km away.
