Shiroishi (白石市; -shi) is a city located in Miyagi, Japan.

As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 40,209 and the density of 140.36 persons per km². The total area is 286.47 km².

The city was founded on April 1, 1954.

"Shiroishi Castle" (白石城 Shiroishijō?) is the castle of the Touhoku region. Restored in modern times after its destruction[citation needed].
