Shirley High School Performing Arts College is a co-educational comprehensive Foundation school in the London Borough of Croydon, which first opened in 1954. The school has around 900 pupils aged 11—16. It is the only foundation school in South London that has been able to achieve a Performing Arts grant, and was awarded specialist status as a performing arts college in September 2005. The school has recently built a sixth-form block which is planned to be open to sixth-form students for the 2007-2008 academic year.
