Shire of Longreach is a Local Government Area in central western Queensland, Australia. The shire consists of the area around the town of Longreach, the administrative centre.
Traditionally, a pastoral area, the shire is increasingly becoming a tourist destination with attractions such as the Australian Stockman's Hall of Fame and the Qantas Founders Outback Museum.
Other towns in Longreach Shire include Arrilalah and Morella.
