Shirate is a village in the Sangli district of Maharashtra, India
Holy place,famous for a temple of Goddess "Sitadevi-Wife of Lord Ram".'Jatra'(ferry) is celebrated every year on the eve of "Maharastrian Bendur". 'Sitadevi Parayan' is also held every year with full enthusiasm and auspicious prayers.
