Shipshape
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Shipshape is a specific nautical term describing a sailor's or officer's quarters aboard a warship when everything in such quarters is arranged neatly and secure against the inevitable turbulence at sea. (It can also apply to the gear of an officer or enlisted man in a marine service who keeps his gear neatly packed to fit into the limited space typically allotted such an officer or enlistee aboard ship.)
The term also applies to any private residence (or room, as a bedroom, in such residence) or business or office on land in which the contents of such establishment or room are arranged in a scrupulously neat and tidy manner.
